Thermal Mud

Our springs are our most valuable asset and it is precisely for this reason that the Spa does not offer treatments involving “unnatural straining”, such as hydromassages and other similar procedures.
At our Spa, the age-old tradition of hot springs par excellence comes with a renewed youthfulness thanks to our innovative and unique conception of “healing mud”. We offer a sensory environment and treatments, all entirely dedicated to the “prince of hot springs” - mud.
The mud is composed of tiny, spherical particles of finely ground clay. It must be left to mature for at least six months in running thermal water in order for its beneficial mineral content to be properly absorbed. With this composition, and being hot, it releases therapeutic substances that are absorbed into the skin and subsequently into the surface capillaries, muscles, bones and joints. The mud is highly beneficial to our skin first and foremost, as well as to the body’s load-bearing structures mentioned above, healing or relieving contractures, aches, inflammation and irritation. You are left feeling more stable and more elastic in your movements, which is fundamental for your state of wellbeing. Based on this precise conception of healing mud, we have rewritten tradition in this field by “patenting” a new method for providing wellbeing.
Mud therapy is effective on chronic inflammatory disorders of the musculoskeletal system such as rheumatoid arthritis, tendinitis, muscle ache and inflammation. Mud is applied to patients’ joints at 48° - 50° C and displays anti-inflammatory properties, penetrating the skin and releasing mineral salts.
